Medical Spanish for real patient conversations
Take a history, ask about pain, explain a treatment and calm a worried family, in Spanish. One-on-one coaching with Paula, built around the patients you actually see.
What we practice
Intake and history
Name, date of birth, allergies, medication, medical history: the questions you ask every day.
Symptoms and pain
Where, since when, how strong: and understanding the answers, including regional words.
Instructions and treatment
Explaining medication, procedures and aftercare so the patient really understands.
Empathy and families
Reassuring, giving difficult news gently and talking with relatives.
Why role-plays, not word lists
Knowing the word for "kidney" does not help if you freeze when a patient answers fast.
In class Paula plays your patients, at native speed, with the accents and the everyday words people really use. You practice the same conversations until they feel routine, and you get the phrases in writing in your Student Hub to review before a shift.
Free list: Medical Spanish phrases for nurses and healthcare staff. Also useful: Business Spanish for meetings and emails with colleagues.

★★★★★Paula is an outstanding Spanish teacher. Her ability to explain concepts in both English and Spanish makes learning easy and enjoyable. She's patient, adaptable, and uses engaging materials. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn or improve their Spanish!
Adam
★★★★★Paula is attentive to the students needs and moves at a pace which is both challenging enough for breakthroughs in learning, but not too quick you feel you’re being left behind. She also puts a lot of effort in to soaking activities after each lesson which I really appreciate.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a medical interpreter certification?
No. These are private coaching classes to help you talk with Spanish-speaking patients in your own work. If your role requires a certified medical interpreter, that is a separate, official qualification.
I work in a specific area. Can we focus on it?
Yes. Emergency, pediatrics, maternity, dental, physical therapy, pharmacy, mental health: in the trial class we pick the situations you see most and build your classes around them.
What level do I need?
Any. Beginners start with greetings, body parts, pain and basic instructions. Advanced speakers work on explaining diagnoses and treatment clearly and with empathy.
Is it Latin American Spanish?
Yes. Most Spanish-speaking patients in the US come from Latin America, so you learn the words they actually use, including the regional ones for symptoms and body parts.
How much does it cost?
Medical Spanish is part of Premium / Professional Training: €35 per hour, with monthly packages from €140. The trial class is €15.
